Cowboy Alex lined up for the seed spitting contest.
On Saturday, the entire family hit the Pumpkin Chuckin' contest. It is sponsored by the Youth Garden Project, a great non-profit, that grows gardens, hosts field trips about gardening and outdoors, and teaches kids how to garden and use the earth wisely. The main event is a pumpkin chuckin' contest, but there are several other exciting activities. The pumpkins are merely thrown by hand, but by catapults and other devices. It is a big competition. The kids had a great time. Not too many pictures of Joseph and Alex because they were off with their friends participating in activities. We'll be back next year!
Joey and Joseph.
Joseph loved playing the games and winning prizes. He has a very accurate aim and won a number of prized at the balloon dart throw.

A giant sand pile provides lots of fun for Courtney and Grace.
And last but not least, the MCS food booth.
Notice the lovely cotton candy hanging on the pole.
