The Old City Park Crew
Fall Break arrived with wonderful weather. We spent many hours on Thursday at Old City Park. It is the closest park to our house and we are happy to spend a lot of time there. It has great grass, wonderful trees, geese and fish in a pond (and we saw turtles too this time), a huge stage to play on and most importantly, a waterfall with a stream that goes through a corner of the park. We played in the water, climbed on rocks,fed the geese, kicked the soccer ball, climbed other rocks, played volleyball with the soccer balls, and climbed a few trees. It was so much fun! The only bad part was Joseph's spider bite. Although we didn't discover it for a few days, we think he got his spider bite while we were at the park (maybe he should wear more clothes). It was really swollen by the next Monday and he started on antibiotics. Thankfully they worked, but he was in quite a bit of pain for several days until the infection was knocked out. Watch out for spiders!
