While reading scriptures as a family, Alex hears me read "The brass plates tell of Lehi's forefathers." He exclaims "Lehi had FOUR fathers!"
While getting the girls dressed the other day, I handed Gracie a brown and pink CAT (Caterpillar tractor logo) shirt known as the kitty shirt to the girls. Gracie looks at me horrified, "I can't wear this kitty shirt. I am allergic to cats!"
Another items of interest in our lives...New computer is up and running. Now I just need to get the pictures downloaded and blog caught up. I hit a 50% off sale at the thrift store today and someone had just dropped off a bunch of fancy dresses. We have new dress ups, twirly, whirly, fluffy, silky wonders! Watch for an upcoming fashion shoot! Love, love, love Wabi Sabi, our thrift store.
My parents are doing great in Finland. Our long-time family friends and neighbors in Morgan, Stan and Evelyn Stevens, just got their mission call to Samara, Russia! This is Joseph's birthplace. We are so excited for them. They leave in February.
Soccer season is cruising along. The White Leopards (Alex's team) are undefeated. I am coaching and having a blast. We had a hard time coming up with a name. We were almost the Red Devil Kitty Turtles! That would have rivaled the Lego Kittens team name. We played against them last spring when we were the Tiger Sharks. One more practice and two games and the fall season will be in the books. Can I tell you how much I love fall? The weather is amazing and I just want to be outside--which my kids don't mind at all. Fall break is this weekend and we are thrilled to have our friends the Ericksons (aka Jen Whimpey and family) coming to spend the time with us.
In case you didn't notice on my sidebar, my sister Becca, has joined the blogging world. Check out her blog Grandma's Perfect Angels for lots of cute kid pics and laughs. I'm so lucky to have three amazing sisters!
