Busy Morning at the Mecham Hotel

It's now 7:38 am. I've been up since 4:45 am.  I got Masha fed and dressed as a pioneer (bonnet and all!), braided two long french braids in her hair and sent her off at 5:15 with her sack lunch to begin her driving trek to Wyoming to participate in her pioneer trek at Martin's Cove.  Next Matt got up about 5:45. I made him breakfast and sent him off to an early meeting.  Then I started frying bacon for Coach Lee (we're hosting him for the week.  He's 19, from Liverpool, England and very fun to host. The kids adore him.  He's here doing a British soccer camp that the boys are attending).  He was thrilled to take his buttered white toast, add catsup and bacon to make a "Bacon Butty".  He was off at 7 and then it was time to wake up Joseph and Alex to get ready for soccer camp.  We got the cleats, socks and everything including breakfast and "Wacky Wednesday Camp Attire" finished just in time as my friend arrived to pick them up at 7:30.  Caroline and Courtney woke up just as the boys were getting ready to leave and now at 7:47 that leaves Grace, Geneva and Indiana sleeping.  Geneva  (3) and Indiana (6) are staying with us until Saturday while their parents help with the pioneer trek that Masha is attending.  So last night we had 2 parents(Matt and I), 2 foreign visitors(Masha and Lee) and 7 kids(our 5 + 2 extra) sleeping at our house!  What a party!  Anyone want to come visit....We still have a couch available!

Lee may run away screaming before he leaves on Friday and Matt may go insane before Saturday evening, but we do have a back up plan--our nice neighbors across the street (their kids are all grown and gone) have offered Lee a refuge if needed.  And I'm sure Matt could join him if he'd like:)

At least life isn't boring!
