Star Spangled Group all ready for church on July 3.
We spent the 4th of July weekend with my family in Morgan. My parents were on a 10 day church history tour on the East Coast, so we kids held down the fort. Sunday we enjoyed church and riding in Grandpa's classic car. On Monday, we went to the parade after a yummy breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. We enjoyed the snake show at the park and the candy cannon. The boys went back with Becca to get squirted by Uncle Dave with the fire engine hose while the girls stayed home and napped. We had a great dinner and make homemade ice cream before watching a movie on the back lawn, doing fireworks and watching the Morgan fireworks. It was a busy weekend with lots of fun times with our cousins, aunts and uncles. It all had to end too soon!
Masha ready to ride in an American Classic
Courtney drives the tractor
Grace thinks she's pretty cool
Irelynd and Caroline ready to view the parade
Joseph, Parker and Alex rest up to gather their parade candy.
Londyn and other cousins wait for the next round of candy
Masha celebrates the 4th
Nothing says 4th of July like the Snake Show at the Park. The kids love to see this every year and wait for the 16 foot python to come out of the crate to end the show.
Too much fun for Grace and Masha
Caroline passed out in the swing after swinging for over an hour.
Masha takes her turn cranking the ice cream maker while Londyn and Brinlee look on.
Joseph takes his turn playing "see how long you can keep your hand in the ice cream bucket full of salt and ice" while Courtney, Kensi, Mark,Phil and Irelynd look on.
Movie time outside on Grandma and Grandpa's lawn while waiting for it to be dark enough for fireworks.
Caroline is fascinated by her sparkler.
Gracie liked the sparklers but kept them very far away.
Courtney was thrilled and fearless.
Alex enjoyed all of his sparklers and wanted more.
Joseph loves running around the house to see if he can make it back before his sparkler runs out. No pictures of him enjoying his run.
I'm glad to see that Joseph is carrying the tradition on!
