Happy Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday we had a school yard sale and made almost $800 for the Parent Council. It was fun and we didn't come home with too many new items. Saturday night the kids and Matt took me out to dinner and the Moab Diner. On Sunday we went to church, took a drive in the mountains in the afternoon(yes there was still snow up there) and then ended up at the park. One of the items we did get at the yard sale were several bright yellow shirts. Matt wanted them so the kids could wear them when we take them places so they won't get lost. I think they work!

As always Mother's Day reminds me of the four women who share my motherhood, our children's birth mothers--Svetlana, Tammy, Dominique and Deanna.  I think of them many times each day as I watch our amazing children and thank them for the privilege that they've given me to be a mother to each of these children.  As the kids get older and understand more and more what adoption means, I am so grateful that we are in contact with each of their birth mothers and that we can help our kids know how much their birth mothers loved them and continue to love them. It's wonderful for them to be able to have them in their lives and know of their continued love and support from them, not just us.  Thank you for making our family and being part of it as well.  Each of our birth mothers has other biological children, three of them are in school as well as working full-time and raising their children.  I'm amazed at all they do and are.  I'm so blessed to know them and want them to know what wonderful mothers they are.
Caroline shows how hard it is to be a mother and juggle everything that you need--your baby, your bottle, your phone and your POCKET KNIFE!

Alex shows off his new glasses and vest at the yard sale.

Courtney also got new glasses, new pink cowboy boots and a skirt

Courtney loving her swing.  Joseph and Alex are pushing the girls.

Caroline says cheese.

Most of the crew in yellow.  I wanted a picture of all of them, but it didn't happen.
