The ride home from Goblin Valley

To arrive at Goblin Valley, we took Hwy 191 North to I-70 West to Hwy 24 West, about 1.5 hours from our house. To come home we took, Hwy 24 West and at Hanksville (population about 250 or so) took Hwy 95 South (I think the only reason for this road is for people to get to Lake Powell. This took us through Glen Canyon and over Lake Powell. We drove along White Canyon and came to Blanding, up through Monticello and home. It was VERY remote, but very beautiful. It took about 4 hours. Lucky for us we have a new vehicle(see future post) with an in-car DVD player and the kids all watched movies and napped on the way home.

Alex at Hite Overlook. Looking down on Lake Powell. Courtney and Gracie were busy checking out the rocks.
Hite Overlook. Check out that cliff!

Going down the road from Hite Overlook. Check out the bridge between the rocks.

The road "closer" to Blanding than Lake Powell. It looks like you are going to drive off the cliff.

Church Rock between Monticello and Moab. We call it the Snowman Rock!
