Corona Arch

Corona Arch

In a week of hikes, this was our first. Three miles roundtrip, and the kids did great. Courtney had to be carried a bit at the end, but Gracie made it the entire way herself. Caroline had to be carried, but wanted to walk the entire time. We look forward to many more hikes.

The boys LOVE caves. Any time there is a cave, they want to climb to it. A perfect hike for the boys would be full of caves and water to play in.

Check out the railroad that is cut through the red rock. The railroad runs from the potash mine at the end of the canyon. This is near the beginning of the trail.

The Corona Arch is outside of Moab in a canyon off the Colorado River. Kirill is posing on the trail. You can see the Colorado in the background.

Cute boys posing on a rock.

What? A picture of Mom on the blog???

Cactus in bloom (on the way up the trail)

Cactus fully in bloom later in the day on the way down the trail.
