Kirill Joseph is 8! Happy Birthday!

On top of the world...his favorite place, anywhere he can climb!

Kirill wanted a baptism cake for his birthday this year. What do you think of it? He was pleased so I guess that is the most important thing.

On Friday, May 21, Kirill Joseph turned 8. With our move to Moab, he has decided that he wants to be called Joseph. It's hard to the family to make the change, but everyone at school and church now knows him as Joseph. I'm secretly hoping he'll switch back, but I think he's tired of everyone not being able to say his name and calling him several versions of Kirill, Kidill, Karill, Kilill...

We are very proud of him and his decision to be baptized. His baptism will be on June 5th (Matt's 40th birthday)! He had school on his birthday, and they had field day. They were able to go to a great park and got to play in the creek there. They had a great time, and we joined them for a picnic lunch. After lunch, he had some friends over to swim, went back to their house to play Wii, and then we went to dinner for his birthday at a local pizza place. He got to do some birthday shopping on Saturday, and still has some birthday money burning a hole in his pocket.

On Sunday, we had some of our new friends, the Wilcox family, from Moab over for dinner and ice cream and cake. The missionaries from our church joined us as well. It was a great dinner and lots of fun for everyone.
