And the outlet looks like this (4 prong) and the clothes are mounting from a week of moving and no washer and dryer...

Go to the local hardware store (with 4 kids in tow and a not very helpful clerk who tells you the wrong location for said item so you have to go back to the front and ask again, meanwhile the kids are picking up every single random piece of hardware in the store b/c hardware stores don't have big enough carts for kids)and buy this (taking camera along with the two pictures from above so you can make sure you buy the right thing, aren't digital cameras great?)

Remove the 3 prong pig tail and install the 4 prong pig tail (under guidance from Dad on the phone) and presto chango! I can dry clothes and I've acquired a new skill.

So if you are in need of intalling a new "pig tail" for your dryer. Call me. The dryer has done about 8 loads since my installation last night and is working great.
You've already moved?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteAwesome job Liisa! We know you can do anything and are glad that you can have clean and dry clothes!
ReplyDeleteSo you have moved? Glad that went OK!! Liisa you are super woman. I aspire to be like you everyday!! Love ya tons.
ReplyDeleteOH, OH, OH, I HAVE been there and done that!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I only had 3 kids in tow but it's extremely frustrating! Glad you stuck to it and got it done!
