Spring Break 3-Grandma and Grandpa's House

Despite all of my exciting excursions, the kids liked playing at Grandma's house the best!

Here is Mike/Brent reading to the kids. It's really Brent, he's the brother of Mike. Mike is my sister Heather's husband. The kids call him Mike 1/2 the time and Brent the other half. They look somewhat alike so I can understand the confusion.

Caroline enjoyed emptying Grandma's cupboard and Courtney joined in to help her.

More Gracie "Look a swing, Grandma's swing, we're swinging, we're swinging!"
The girls would have spent the entire 5 days at Grandma's on the swing if we would have pushed them. They are enjoying their ride with their cousin Bronwyn.

One afternoon, Grandpa took us on a tour of his childhood home, Croydon, UT. We were able to see his grandparents' house, his parents' house, the park where the church used to be and the cemetery where his parents are buried. The kids loved hearing his stories about rattlesnakes and delayed fuse firecrackers that exploded outside the open window during church. It was fun for my brother Ryan and me to hear some new stories as well.

The boys enjoyed doing their Home Depot project with Grandpa. They are both very good at using a hammer. Notice Alex is in his outift of choice--pjs. I think he wore them all day for 3/5 days.

  1. Looks like lots of fun! I forgot how cold and brown it looks there at this time of year when I am enjoying 70 degree weather:) Nothing beats a tour of Croydon though.
