Spring Break 2-Temple Square

For spring break we went to Utah to stay with my parents. One day we went to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. The boys had been before, but the girls had never been. We had a lot of fun and I even got a little sunburned! It was 60 degrees--a temperature we haven't seen since last fall.

Temple Square always has beautiful flowers. These are just coming out. I'm sure they'll all be filled in when it's time for General Conference in a few weeks.

We took the elevator to the top of the LDS Church Office Building to look out over their observation deck. It is 26 stories up. The kids loved it. The elevator ride was very fun. You can see the Utah State Capitol in the background. I loved going up the elevator when I was younger so I wanted to take the kids to experience what I did when I was younger.

The Salt Lake Temple posing spot.
Many couples who are recently married stand here in picturesquely framed by the Salt Lake Temple. This pose of the kids was the best I could get:)

The kids LOVED the fountains best.
Too bad I didn't have any more money to throw in! We used my 4 pennies on the first of many fountains.

The kids also enjoyed seeing the Christus statue. The girls have been talking about the "boo boos in Jesus' hands." More Gracie commentary "Temple Square, Look at Temple Square, Look at Mommy, Kirill. Look at Jesus's boo boos at Temple Square. I want to see Alex." Alex is hiding behind me. He did NOT want to be in the picture.
Thanks to Becca for the Sit N Stand stroller that we borrowed. Caroline rode in front and the girls rode on the back part, one sitting and one standing on the stand part. Perfect for two girls who kept getting off and on the stroller.

  2. I'm glad nobody jumped into the reflection pool this time. I do love the view from the top up there so I am glad my nieces and nephews got to experience it!
