Union Station-Spring Break 2011

Courtney, Grace, Caroline (kind of), Alex and Joseph pose at the Union Station Train Museum in Ogden.

Alex loved climbing on the trains outside of the museum.

Joseph loves any time he can climb. He wants to go back and just climb the trains.

Caroline, Courtney and Alex test out the equipment.

Gracie poses in the caboose tower.

Alex enjoyed testing out the small car used to repair the rails.

Inside Union Station there is also a Browning Arms Museum. He wanted his Pawpaw Vern to see his picture with a machine gun.

There is also a museum of antique cars. The boys were very impressed with the collection.  Joseph is standing in front of his favorite car.

Matt and Caroline stand in front of the giant wheels of one of the last steam locomotives to be used.

Caroline drives a train.

Union Station is located in Ogden, Utah, not far from my parents' house. For $12, a family can see all three museums. The train museum is very fascinating.  Matt and I learned a lot there.  The kids really enjoyed it as well. The Antique Car Museum and Browning Museum are also interesting, but didn't really hold the kids attention very long, plus we saw them after the train museum and they were tired of being inside.  The trains are located outside and are free of charge.  Happy Climbing!  Union Station was our 2nd choice for the day since it was too rainy and cold for the zoo.  We're thrilled with our discovery and will return again.
