I've been doing twists this week. The girls liked them, even Caroline had twists for about 3 hours. Courtney wanted "long" hair that "moves when the wind blows." I didn't have any hair on hand (I need to order some, any suggested websites?) so we used white yarn. She loves her "long hair" and wants more, but pink hair next time. I found a cool site call Chocolate Hair, Vanilla Care The mom who does it is really talented and does a great job with the site. I learned that I've been corn-rowing wrong, I've just been doing a "dutch braid"-or inverted french braid. But now I've got the corn row down, if Courtney isn't wiggling too much. I haven't really attempted too many of the exotic or elaborate hairstyles on the site, but I got the idea for the yarn extensions there when browsing a few weeks ago.
Gracie in piggy-back pony tails ended with twists.
Side view of Grace
Courtney's mix of piggy-back ponytails up both sides, four twists on the back and yard extensions to her braids on top. Now she's pulled out the single braid and sports three little "spouts" of "long hair" on top of her head. I'm going to have to get more yarn or hair because she won't let me take away her "long hair."
Courtney's long hair. It was longer, but she didn't like it touching her neck so we cut the yarn.
I do dress my child some days:) If she doesn't have a "dress up" on, she likes to run around with only underwear (my girls won't call them panties because the boys call it underwear) on.

Thanks for sharing the great website! I have been starting to follow some good hair blogs for when Paige is big enough to start doing her hair. I know I have a couple years but I am so excited to try some of these cute ideas. I really love the African Hair Threading look and I can't wait to try it. I also like the micro twist look and that looks like a fun one to try to. Here are a couple blog I found recently about hair ideas..
