Bar M Chuckwagon

The boys got invited to a party for employees (and paper delivery kids) of The Ad-Vertiser, the paper they deliver once a week.  It was held at the Bar M Chuckwagon, just outside of Moab.  We had a great time--wonderful food and fun entertainment including a gun show and after dinner cowboy music show.  The boys wanted a longer gun show and the girls favorite thing was the pea gravel that was under the tables in the dining hall. They played with it almost the entire show.  Dinner included roast beef or chicken, pinto beans, rolls, applesauce, spice cake, baked potatoes and lemonade--all served on tin plates and in a tin cup. The kids loved the tinwear!  Maybe I should invest in some:)  The favorite dinner item was the roast beef. It was thinly sliced and everyone loved it.  I don't know if I've mentioned it before, but Courtney is a carnivore!  She will devour all and any meat.  She went to town on the roast beef.  Potatoes are her second favorite item, but she only started on them after she devoured a side of beef!

A great evening, lots of fun, and even a picture of the entire family!

Grace and Joseph practice their roping skills with some friends they made.  The other kids, from England, were "on Easter holiday" and my boys said,"They talk just like the kids on Nanny McPhee!"

Caroline and Courtney check out the old gold mining equipment.

Love this sign!

The gun fight, beautiful setting...

Alex recognized John Wayne and wanted his picture with him.  He is "holding" John Wayne's hand.

The show.
They asked for kid volunteers to come help and Grace and Alex ran right up. Grace is in the pink and Alex is behind her.

  1. I'd love that sign for my house. Previously the one I liked said "Unattended children will be served espresso and given a free kitten." While funny (on the wall in a store), it was slightly less appropriate a threat in my own house.
