Matt found a paper route for the boys to earn some money and learn about responsibility. Once a week, they deliver about 200 papers to homes in a neighborhood in town. The paper is a local classified ads paper with a few inserts each week. Usually we roll the papers as a family and then Matt, Joseph and Alex set off to deliver them. I've never had the priviledge to do "newspapering" or "paper routing" but everyone comes home happy and they get faster each week. I'm not sure about the system, but I believe Alex(sitting in the back seat) hands a paper to Joseph (sitting on the driver's side with the air bag off (I made certain of this) and he throws them. Matt does the driving.
The boys love their time with daddy. One night they were delivering away and Joseph said, "We're making the magic happen." (Quoting a phrase Matt often uses). It truly is magic to teach kids to work and have them enjoy it.
