Abominations or "Obama-nations"

Tonight we were reading the Book of Mormon with the boys.  Joseph was reading and came to the word "abominations" and had a hard time with it. I told him to sound it out.  He did, except with an "a" (apple sound at the beginning) and then I told him the correct pronunciation.  Then I asked him what it sounded like so we could help him understand it...I was thinking "Abominable Snowman".  He said, "Obama."  I had to laugh...I'm sure some would agree and others would disagree, but it was pretty funny...

Alex has been wordsmithing lately.  He asked if we were going to have a New Year's "Eve-ster" Party on Dec 31.  He loves to go "newspapering" or "paper routing" with Matt and Joseph on their weekly paper route (I need to blog about this).  And just Saturday, we took the kids on an adventure to look at a piano that a man is giving away (he lives 15 miles off the main road on paved roads and then 5 miles on dirt, gravel, sand dune & boulder strewn roads), and told Alex if we get the piano I would teaching him piano lessons. His reply, "You are the best mom in the world.  I can't wait to do pianoing."
