Fall Soccer

Joseph of U12 Cortez Fire Fame!

Joseph plays on a travel team. So far this year he's had games in Telluride (1 hr), Crested Butte (4 hrs), Cortez (home) and tomorrow Pagosa Springs (2 hrs).  Travel times are one way through some of the most amazing mountains you will ever see.  Check out our Crested Butte pictures below.

Alex of U10 Cortez Dynamo Fame!

Alex also plays on a travel team. They play every other Saturday in and around Farmington, NM (about 1.5 hrs each way).  The scenery isn't quite as spectacular, but they do have Sam's Club in Farmington!

Courtney U6 Sky Blue Jets Team

Courtney and Caroline play on a team together coached by mom.  They both do great and LOVE to score goals so much that they sometimes take the ball away from their own teammates.  Grace opted not to play this year citing "too much running and paying attention to the coach" as her main complaints against soccer:)

She will not be deterred from scoring even if most of the kids are a year older than her.  She does not like to play defender because its "boorwing" and "you can never kick the ball and score."

This was fun to clean!  OxyClean got it all out though!  Go OxyClean!

Alex had much better weather and he was only playing at 5400 feet in Farmington, NM.  It was almost 80 this day, September 21.

The Sky Blue Jets play at 6200 feet in Cortez, Colorado every week!

They are very energetic and have had a very successful season so far.
