Caroline is 3!

Look who turned three Friday! She was all smiles for her birthday that started Thursday night and extended through Saturday.  She had just finished helping me frost her Hazel cake in this picture.

Thursday night we had breakfast for dinner.  We invited the sister missionaries from our church over for breakfast/dinner.  Caroline enjoyed a candle in her chocolate chip pancakes.

Caroline, Sister Wilkins and Courtney pause in their after dinner ballet for a picture.

Then we blew out the candles in some brownies.  Love the wardrobe change from the beginning of dinner to the dessert shot!

Opening presents Friday morning.  Ruby red slippers, tea set, plastic dishes and a Melissa and Doug play pizza.  The girls were all very impressed with the "real glass" tea set. The tea pot already has a crack..

Getting ready to blow out the candles on the Hazel cake.  Hazel is our rabbit.

Caroline decided to pain her own "toes" for her birthday.

The Hazel Cake.

Courtney poses with the original Hazel.

Three About our Three Year Old
1.  Caroline loves to be with her brothers and sisters.  She is happy as a clam playing with one or all of her siblings. She thinks she is the same age as all of them, 4, 7 or almost ten. She will not be left behind or told she is too young to participate.  She and Courtney and Grace are quite the group. Next year she will really be tested as the older girls start pre-school four days a week, and Caroline will only be joining them for one day.  She is recently angry that the girls are allowed to play soccer and she isn't old enough yet.
2.  Caroline is very determined.  She does not like to be told no and will try a variety of tactics to get you to change your mind.  She doesn't like to go to bed at night, but will finally stay in bed and read books now.   She falls asleep almost every night with a book across her face.
3.  Caroline loves to play with her baby dolls. She pushes them in her stroller, feeds them, puts them to bed and reads to them.  She just got a Baby Alive yesterday with some birthday money and she loves to feed her and change her diaper.  She also loves to swing on swings, eat fruit snacks, swim, watch Dora, Alvin and the Chipmunks (1&2) and can sing most of the songs from the second one at full volume and energy along with dance moves:)  Too bad she inherited her mother's lack of musical talent and movement.
