On September 10, we had a Rich-Wiscombe Family Reunion. Clarence and Eva Rich are the parents of my mom, Scott and Dave. June and Ray Wiscombe are the parents of the other seven children pictured above. Eva and June are sisters whose maiden name was Rose. When my mom was nine years old, her dad died, and then a year later her mom passed away! After my Grandma Rich's death, my mom and her brothers went to live with Aunt June and Uncle Ray who raised them together. Grandpa and Grandma Wiscombe are the only grandparents I ever knew on my mom's side and their seven children, along with my mom's two biological brothers, are all the aunts and uncles that I have always known and loved. For us, there was no difference in the aunts and uncles and cousins of the Riches or the Wiscombes. To us, we had nine aunts and uncles and 38 cousins (44 total grandkids with our family included). I'm so blessed to be a part of the Rich-Wiscombe family. It was so wonderful to see so many of my cousins and for my mom to have all nine of her brothers and sisters together. We had awesome hamburgers from the beef my Uncle Jim raised and fresh corn on the cob from his fields. We had food galore as we do at all family parties and tons of catching up to do. What a blessing to be a part of a loving family! I'm sure Eva and June were pleased to see us all gathered together, not too far from where they were raised.

Brothers and Sisters and Spouses
D'vo(Ben's wife) and Kina (Connor's bride-to-be in November) are all smiles.
The kids loved playing in the back of Uncle Dave's truck.
Grace, Londyn and Capri enjoy playing with Dixie's sons.
Londyn holds a Pace-Dairy Ann Bar. I think Caroline ate five of these popsicles.
Kensi, Caroline and Sophie(Justin and Laurie's daughter) get ready for some badminton. Caroline and Sophie are only 1.5 months apart in age and a perfect match on the blond hair color.
Irelynd, Capri and Londyn pose before the hayride starts. Cousin Derek brought the John Deere to the party with a hay wagon on the back. It was a huge hit. My kids stayed on for both of the rides. Derek joked "You know you're a redneck when you show up to the family reunion on a tractor:)"
Caroline and Katie pose for the camera.

Avie, Mark's little girl, survived a crash with the picnic table. Check out her eye!
Courtney had too much fun! She fell asleep while Uncle Karl was holding her and finished her nap on the grass.
