I hardly ever watch movies (unless you count kid movies playing in the background). The past week I saw three excellent movies/DVDs. My friend Maryette loaned me The Blind Side and I really enjoyed watching it with my parents this weekend. Then I rented Amazing Grace and Bella from the library last week. I almost returned them without watching them, but was very glad that I gave up a few hours of sleep to watch them.
You can click on the movie names to see the summaries. Amazing Grace was really fascinating to learn more about the origins of the song Amazing Grace and the anti-slavery movement in England. Bella was just a beautiful movie, and I loved the adoption theme. The Blind Side told such a great story, and it was true!
In the previews to my movies, I found my next three I want to see: Pride, The Girl with the Pearl Earring and Away from Her. And guess what I found at the library the other day? Pride...so I'll keep you posted. If it's like most weeks, I'll check out a movie and take it back unwatched. We'll see...What movies have you seen lately?
We love The Blindside. We don't watch many movies either and are very picky about what we watch so we enjoy a good recommendation!
