FYI, I got my haircut over Christmas. It is now a "wedge" according to the hair stylist. I like it. Alex tells me about every other day, "I like your pretty hair cut." Courtney said when I got it cut, "All gone hair!" It's not super duper short, but shorter. I'll have to take a picture to post.
Matt and I are official grown-ups. We joined the Cresendo Club at the Sun Valley Summer Symphony The Symphony is awesome! For over 2 weeks in the summer, you can enjoy world-class music outdoors for FREE!!! Check out the schedule and plan to visit us and enjoy the music. You can sit in the pavillon or on the grass. Picnicking on the grass is quite the event. Some people even have little wine glass holders that you stick in the grass to hold their wine while they sit on their blankets.
I'm doing much better keeping Courtney's hair moisturized. Dominique sent me some suggestions for her hair, and a friend here gave me some great pointers. FYI, if you don't rinse the conditioner out of your African American daughters hair. It works so much better to keep it soft!
I found a great product (don't I sound all BQ (Beauty Queeny) for Gracie's hair in my search for products for Courtney. It keeps her curls nice and formed and really cuts down on the wild hair, Just for Me Curl Smoother Creme
Caroline is teething and not too happy. She does like to stand up and play at the Play n' Learn table, but I have to stand behind her and make sure she doesn't tip over. She is quite opinionated and likes people food much better than baby food.
Kirill has started a rock climbing class at the YMCA. I asked him if he liked it, and he said, "No, I love it!" He chose rock climbing over basketball.
Alex would watch his "Walking With Dinosaurs" the complete collection every day all day if I let him. He LOVES his new movies. They are pretty cool.
Your posts just warm my heart! Your family is so precious and your kiddos are L-U-C-K-Y!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the updates. Good luck with Courtney's hair. After spending time with you and her I understand your pain.
