Christmas Spirit
Grace comes to me very disgruntled today, "Mom, Buggy (Caroline's nickname) doesn't even care about the Christmas Spirit? All she wants is candy, candy, candy and more candy."
I ask, "Grace, do you know what the Christmas Spirit is?"
Grace looks at me strangely, "No, but Buggy does NOT have it!"
By now all three girls were gathered around and we talked about how the Christmas Spirit is about giving and not just getting presents, helping people and being kind, and how Jesus gave the best gift by giving His life for us. I am not sure they quite understand yet, but maybe they have a little better idea and maybe Caroline can get the Christmas Spirit and some candy too!
House Sold
Grace is very observant. She asked the other day, "Why did we move to Grandma's house and not to an empty house with a sign that said, "House Sold." I thought it was pretty funny.
How many people live in your house?
Alex did a homework paper today and later I was checking it and had quite the chuckle.
Question #1. How many people live in your house? ____ He wrote in the answer "12." Do 12 people really live here? I guess we do...Part 2 of the question. How many fingers does each person have? 10
Write a number sentence about how many fingers all of the people in your house have? 10 x 12=120 fingers!
Look out world there are 120 fingers in this house of 12 people! Just kind of humorous to actually see the info on paper. Wonder if his teacher will find it amusing?
