Happy Birthday Matt

Matt didn't really get to blow out his 41 candles. The kids did it for him.

We celebrated Matt's birthday over a week ago on Sunday, June 5. With the end of school, I haven't had a chance to blog about his big day. We enjoyed cake, ice cream and some fruit with our friends the Cranes and the Swifts. The kids had fun playing and the adults played Ticket to Ride. It was a fun evening.  The night before we went out to dinner for his birthday at a local steakhouse "The Branding Iron."  Dinner was good and our little carnivore from Texas aka Courtney ate almost half of Matt's rib eye!  Joseph had a kid's steak dinner and Caroline was chowing down on the rib eye as well. It's going to be expensive to take these kids out...no more burgers for them, they want the good stuff!

Matt requested red velvet cake. I had to take a picture before frosting it to show the true red color!  I made a red velvet pound cake and a Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate pound cake (just in case there were those who chose not to partake of the "bleedin' red armadillo")

4 and 1 candles did the trick for 41!  Happy Birthday Matt!
