Alex all dressed for school. He got dressed all by himself and did his own hair. He's getting so big!Soccer
Alex and Joseph had their first soccer games of the season Wednesday. Alex's first game ever and Joseph's first of the season. I didn't get any pictures since I forgot the camera, but we have another game tomorrow. Victory eluded both teams, but both boys played well and enjoyed themselves. Joseph was exhausted at the end of his game. He really hustled and saved quite a few goals (they don't have goalies in his level but he was a great defender). Alex kicked the ball quite a few times, but the "herd" prevailed in the 5 year old soccer and made it hard for anything to really happen.
Caroline rarely will let me do her hair and when she does, she pulls it out fairly quickly. But she looks so cute with a little ponytail and a pretty. Courtney is always thrilled when "baby have a pretty like me." The older girls both love to "fix mommy's hair" "I'm doing your braids, don't move, don't cry" "aren't you pretty, mommy" "it doesn't hurt, just don't move." Wonder where they heard such things...Snails
We got pet snails last week. Matt's co-worker had 29. She gave us 7. So far, so good. They are all alive. They eat fish food and lettuce. Courtney and Gracie don't want to hold them. Caroline doesn't mind. The boys won't leave them alone:) The snails poop a lot if you feed them a lot of lettuce. The boys didn't enjoy their first experience cleaning the cage. Maybe this will help them realize just how much work a dog will be and will buy me a few more years:)
The ladies checking out the snails the day after their arrival. They were in bed when we brought them home.

Alex does look very grown up! I'm not so sure how I feel about pet snails but I'm sure one day we will most likely have one:)
