It's definitely hot and humid here in North Carolina. We've had a busy week. It's hard to believe that we've been here one week. Time flies when you're having fun. We took a trip to SciWorks the other day and went to play at our friends' house, the Turleys. On Friday, we got a great Craigslist deal on Kirill's school clothes for next year. We miss craigslist in Moab... Friday evening we were able to attend Jane's baptism. She was one of Kirill's best buddies from the time he was 18 months old. It was a beautiful baptism. We're looking forward to going to church today and seeing more of our old friends.
Next week will be fun for Kirill. He's attending Cub Scout Day camp all week and gets to go archery, shooting and all sorts of fun things. We are looking forward to visits from my sister and her husband and my cousin Ashley and her family.

Alex and Vern enjoy some cobby corn.

The queen of cobby corn!

Caroline loves cobby corn as well.

The girls were fascinated with the Turleys' guinea pig.

Vern's honey.
Vern has been busy extracting his honey from his hives. I've been learning all about beekeeping. Kirill wants a little beekeeper outfit and hat for Christmas. I get to turn the extractor (sp) that spins the honey off of the wax in the frame. Honey is heavy! I get to help with the lifting too. We all enjoy eating the honey. Check out Vern in the background and the jar of honey with honeycomb in it on the far right in the rear.
Looks very fun! We are excited to come see you soon and join your fun!
