Yesterday I had an eye doctor appointment. None of the doctors in town accept our vision insurance so I made the hour drive to the "big city." The girls went with me for a "Girls Day Out." They all did well at the eye doctor--Caroline slept in her car seat and the girls ate cereal in the double stroller (and the floor really showed it). Luckily, they got me right in and out so we had a good visit and I got my new contacts (I was on my last pair).
After the visit, we headed over to Cafe Rio. It was fun to sit with the girls and eat. They loved the black beans and sat there in their high chairs eating like champs, and Caroline took it all in from her car seat (she loves to be out in public watching people).
No trip to the city would be complete without a visit to Costco, and then we headed home. Food and shopping. What more do girls need for a day out? I look forward to a lot more Girls Days Out as the girls get older. I'm sure it will cost me a lot more for food and especially shopping as they get older, but it will be lots of fun.
