We are half-way to our new home! The kids are restless, the dad is restless and the grandma is the hero! I'm just tired of driving. Matt just said, "We are trying to decide whether to drug daddy or the kids:)" They are now all off to enjoy the continental breakfast at our hotel of the night, the Olive Branch Inn in Independence, Missouri, while I type this. I'd highly recommend this hotel, by the way.
We visited the Independence, MO Visitors Center for our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is beautiful. It has an play area for the kids with a play horse and covered wagon and small log cabin. The kids loved it and climbed all over. Ask us about Kirill riding the horse and the embarassing moment.
Today we are going to visit the Liberty Jail before we set off for the day. We've made it through NC, TN, KY, IL, MO and will soon enter NE on our way to WY, UT and ID. Quite the trip! We're spending tonight somewhere in NE and the hotel must have a pool! Wednesday night we should be at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Utah and out of the humidity!
Kudos to the GPS lady(her voice) on dad's borrowed GPS for getting us this far and for Dad's help with hotels and internet info as we call him along our travels. BTW, Ramada Limited in Clarksville, TN is about a ** motel, pass on it if you can, but the beds were clean.
