Temple Square Lights

Starting out our adventure at City Creek.
We enjoyed my belated Chick-Fil-A birthday meal with about 2,000 of our closest friends in the Food Court @ City Creek. Great food, great service...big crowd.

Monday night we made our annual trip to Salt Lake to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights. It was a bit chilly and the wind was rather biting.  We had a great time and no one got lost or too cold.  Matt and I herded the kids among the huge crowds and Joseph and Alex helped as well. Joseph is very protective of his sisters in crowds and we appreciate his help.  What a fun night and the lights are always so beautiful!

First shot of the night.
My camera skills got better, but this shows just how many lights there are on Temple Square.

Kids in front of the temple.
I was amazed that they all looked at the camera at the same time in several pictures. My kids are growing up and it takes the smallest things to show this to me.

The giant light tree with Caroline, Joseph and Alex

Trees reflecting in the fountain in front of the temple.

Joseph wanted a picture of this tree and Grace did not want to be in the picture.

In front of the Handcart Pioneer Monument.
Joseph told everyone that we needed a picture here because we have ancestors that are handcart pioneers.  He's getting so much more mature.

End of the lights for us.  Everyone appeased mom and sat for one more picture.

We LOVE the escalators at City Creek on the way back to our car.
We could spend hours there just going up and down the escalators.  Love how this picture turned out with the reflections on the sides.
