1900's
During dinner last night, Joseph was pondering and came out with, "I wish I had been born in the 1900's. ....Parker (his cousin) is so lucky. He was born in the 1900's." Parker was born in 1999, by the way.
The four of us at the table born way back in the 1900's all had a great chuckle about the good old 1900's.
Scrabble and Too Many Documentaries
While playing we were playing Scrabble, Alex walked by and looked at Joseph's letters and prompted him to use the word "mate." Joseph comments, "I only used that word because Alex told me to use it and it got me points. He should quit watching so many documentaries that teach him words like that." I guess we will have to censure the watching of Walking with Dinosaurs when it talks about the Brontoscorpions mating!
News and Updates
Halloween has come and gone, and hopefully I will soon get some pictures up of the devil cheetah, pirate, Native American, football player and handsome gangster. Lots of candy all around.
Soccer is over, and Joseph is beginning wrestling; Alex is going to start piano lessons; and Grace has joined the choir at church to sing in the Christmas program. The three girls are reading, reading, reading every night, some nights happily and others not so much. Oh, the joys of kindergarten and first grade! Matt is busy with work and his daily commute to Murray, and I am enjoying my part-time work at the middle school. Morgan has turned off cold, and our mild fall has come to an end.
